The Mountlake Terrace Light Rail Station is open!
New transit types, like light rail, along with multi-modal transportation improvements, play a critical role in the future of Mountlake Terrace and surrounding neighborhoods. We are excited about how the new transit opportunities are connecting our beautiful City with the surrounding community!
Getting to the MLT Transit Station:
We encourage visitors to utilize public transportation and reduce vehicular traffic, especially as they make their way to events like Wag Fest!
LIGHT RAIL
Experience the new Lynnwood Link Extension and join us by light rail!
BUS
Local bus lines run all through MLT and they’ll drop you right at the Transit Center!
CAR POOL
Find a friend, grab some family, and load up less vehicles to get to the events!
BIKE
Hop on and cycle the Interurban Trail and other bicycle-friendly roads to get around!

Riding the Link 1 Line is easy!
Plan your trip and locate your nearest station with the Sound Transit Trip Planner!
Once you arrive at your station, check the electronic display for the next train's arrival time.
Before entering the platform, make sure to tap your ORCA card on one of the yellow ORCA card readers or purchase a ride ticket.
When the train arrives, allow passengers to disembark before boarding.
Once on board, find a seat or hold onto the handrails if standing.
Onboard displays will indicate which station the train is approaching next.
